Join LWR and the James River Association for a trash pickup at Percival’s Island! When litter is left behind, it often gets washed into the James River and ends up in the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Every year, at least 14 million tons of trash end up in the ocean!

Come help out your community and make some new friends! We’ll provide the cleanup supplies—you just need to bring your hands. Remember to bring a reusable water bottle, lunch or snacks, wear closed-toe shoes that can get wet and muddy, and dress in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Be sure to register by 9/11.
